2016 will mark 50 years since I was first licensed. Initially as VE2DFQ then VE2UD. Following a move to Ontario, I was demoted to a three letter call, VE3FOG until a 2 letter call became available. I have been licensed as VE3JK for about twenty years.
I am not a contester but will often enter a contest just to give stations another point. I tend to hang around 17 or 20 meters but can be found almost anywhere on the HF bands.
In contemplation of ultimate retirement (not yet retired), I purchased by dream rig, a Kenwood TS990, which you see in the picture above alongside a vintage Kenwood 820S which was my rig for many years.
I am a member of RAC and ARRL and frequently check into the local ARES nets.
